Define station IDs and permissions in the Administrator > Stations tab

The Administrator > Stations tab defines station IDs and the permissions that are assigned to each station. A user that logs in to a station can run only tasks that are enabled for that station and the tasks that the user has permission to run.

New

To add a station, click New. Datacap opens the Selected station details pane where you can specify the options for the station.

Copy

Click Copy to make a copy of the selected station. Datacap names the copied station Copy of <station>. You can change the name and details in the Selected station details pane.

Remove

Click Remove to remove the selected station.

ID list

The station list displays the ID and description of each station. To change an ID, description, password, or access privileges of a station, select the station and enter the changes in the Selected station details pane.

Selected station details

Select a station to open the Selected station details pane, and use these options to change the settings for the selected station. Click Save.

Name
Displays the station ID.
Description
Displays the station description.
Maximum
Indicates the maximum number of users who can log on with this station ID.
Clear virtuals
Clears the connections by users who are logged on with this station ID.
Permissions
The Permissions option lists all of the jobs and tasks that are defined on the Workflow tab. It also determines which shortcuts are available to users who are logged on with this station ID. Select the tasks that users are allowed to run when they logged on with this station ID. Users can run only tasks that their user profile or group profile allows them to run.
